In 1952, Breitling developed a wrist-worn chronograph with a circular slide rule, enabling pilots to conduct flight calculations. The AOPA endorsed the design and nicknamed it the ‘Navitimer’, making it the official timepiece for aviators everywhere. Celebrities such as Miles Davis and Serge Gainsbourg were drawn to this special watch, displaying its stylish charm. This modern version features a flattened slide rule and domed crystal, creating a sleeker profile. Additionally, new shades of blue, green and copper dials have been included. As a tribute to its legacy, the AOPA wings have returned to the 12 o'clock position. For 70 years, the Navitimer has been a beloved icon among aviators and influencers alike, and it is one of the world's most recognizable watches.
